As I approached the door, the rich aroma of sizzling pans and the unmistakable fragrance of Kalathappam would fill the air, drawing me in. It wasn’t just any snack, it was Amma’s special Kalathappam, a treasured recipe passed down through generations of our Malabar heritage.
In our kitchen, the warmth of family life came alive, with each bite of Kalathappam creating cherished memories. We’d gather around, savoring the perfectly textured triangles of this sweet delight, as stories, laughter, and conversations flowed freely. These simple moments, spent around a humble dish, deepened our bonds and brought us closer together.

Develop a comprehensive brand identity for an authentic Indian snack rooted in its regional heritage, highlighting its cultural significance and distinctive flavor profile. The project includes designing packaging that costs only 10% of the current market products, ensuring affordability while maintaining brand appeal.
INGREDIENTS & FLAVOR
It's made with rice flour, sweet jaggery, fragrant coconut, and crispy shallots, creating a lovely mix of flavors. The jaggery’s sweetness, coconut’s crunch, and the gentle bite of shallots blend perfectly with a touch of oil. Each bite carries the charm of age-old traditions.

BRAND MISSION
The texture of the kalathappam snack which have a vertical pattern, which was taken from the design of the Malayalam letter “tha”. The characteristic is maintained.
The distinct pattern of coconut pieces, precisely cut and fried in oil, adds a unique touch to the snack. This pattern is incorporated into typography manipulation, enhancing the visual representation with its intricate and eye-catching design.
